Delta Marine Unit investigates partially sunken fishing boat

In the centre of the channel near Kirkland Island, on the Fraser River, we noticed a vessel which at first appeared to be a sailboat. Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a partially sunken fishing boat. The pictures we took will be used to inform the authorities of this potential hazard. No oil or contaminates viewed in the water at time of check. Information has also been received that this vessel is tied to a second vessel which is completely submerged.
