The Roberts Bank Lifeboat, operating since 1999, is an independent non-profit society serving the community of Delta and the Province of BC with a self righting amateur radio equipped emergency vessel. We are the only dedicated marine emergency services organization based and operating solely from Delta. This community asset is recognized by several Federal, Provincial, and Municipal agencies.

New Service to Boaters

Roberts Bank Lifeboat crew have recently become trained and certified to complete Boating Safety Checks by the Transport Canada Marine Office of Boating Safety. If you wish to have a free Pleasure Craft safety check and are in the Delta / Richmond area please email us at info@robertsbanklifeboat.ca or call 604-828-0127 to setup a time.
Marine Notice: All operators of motorized vessels must now have their Pleasure Craft Operator's Certificate (PCOC) or other valid proof of marine competency. The card must be carried aboard the vessel, fines start at $250. Boaters should expect police and other agency enforcement of this law. Read more

The MV Roberts Bank Lifeboat and crews have been quite busy in the last weeks of May. The vessel was tasked to aid in maintenance of the Storm Surge Forecast Model Electronic Water Level Sensor by the Corporation of Delta. Work was performed by the Corporation and the sensor is fully operational. The vessel and crews were also tasked by the By-Law Enforcement branch to remove two derelict net sheds from Ladner Harbour as part of the harbour clean up program.
